Bags are packed & appropriately weighed (can not exceed 50lbs), I've triple checked our paperwork, and we're officially ready to go. Surreal. That's what it feels like for both of us right now. We've been talking and dreaming about this trip for so long and now our time has come. Thank God.
We leave on Saturday out of JFK and will have a 15 hour flight to Dubai. We have a forced layover in Dubai (darn, right?) so we can stretch and have a good meal, then we have a 4 1/2 hour flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, landing us in the capitol around 11:30am on Monday.
We will be greeted at the airport by staff from our agency, and they will make arrangements to bring the twins to us later that afternoon!!!
Keep in mind ET is 8 hours ahead of us here, so theoretically when you wake up on Monday morning, we will have already been united with our babies. WOW.
We hope to post something daily, and yes, of course pictures will be included, as long as the internet cooperates.
Please keep our family in your prayers as we head out on this journey, and for those of you in CT, keep our girls safe and if you see them, give them hugs and kisses from us.
